I can NOW....

understand the brides that b*tch about their FMILs....

MY FMIL is my FH's step mother... I'm sure I would have loved his mother (who passed away before I could meet her...)

I like his step mother... but, I don't like being around her for long. she's condescending and a tad annoying.

after what I just experienced 5 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING...

I do NOT look forward to having her as a MIL.

ugh i feel so bad saying this...

I told FH tonight that i am SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY they don't like in NY (their in NJ) and that they are moving to NC within the next few years

[yikes]

with that said, i love his dad...

I am going through that too but only she is critiquing little stupid things with the wedding all of a sudden and my FH tells her there is 5 days until the wedding everything is FINAL!! No More!! He is starting to get pissed. I can't be around her long either when we or she visit. She drives me up the wall after a while with being a miss know it all of weddings. Lucky I have this board and can prove her wrong.
We live in FL so we see her 2x a year but we instead get hounded by emails. Why do MIL's have to be like this. Ugh cant wait til it is over.

I totally understand... His mom is very difficult to deal with, and b/c FH is her only child, she's on him like a hawk and needs to check in with him 3-4 times a week. Nevermind that she attempted to wear WHITE to our wedding (stopped that one and told her in no uncertain terms was she to do that and she claims to be returning her dress and finding a new one). FH's stepmom, however, is simply wonderful and I can see that we are going to be good friends in the years to come.

So sorry for your drama. At least a lull is coming quickly...
