I cannot seem to get this Hawaii Honeymoon cost down
I called liberty I dropped the dream of ocean front rooms I made the convertibles compact cars
I mean I have called like 6 TA and I cannot get this thing under $7K and thats with nothing included. NOTHING no free breakfast, nothing no champagne....
SO then I hear and read and see that if i join AAA I can save money--which i joined. Today they come back with a quote
$8500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEIR QUOTE WAS THE HIGHEST
I dont think we can do Hawaii.

Hmmm...we are using liberty travel in Commack...5 nights in Honolulu at the Royal Hawaiian, 5 nights in Maui at the Sheraton...both 4.5 star hotels..includes breakfast and we are paying $5400....FM me if you want the name of our travel agent...

how about going for less days? why not stay for 8 nights instead of 10 or 14

We booked on our own. I called the hotels directly. I don't know the exact price off hand. FH has all the info, but I know that it was like 2k less than the lowest Travel Agent price.
Go online to different hotel websites. Starwood is a good one bc they have alot of hotels. You could even call them and become a Starwood member immediately and sometimes get a better price. Good luck - don't give up!

How long are you planning on going for? Are you set on the hotels you want to stay at?
Look online, I've noticed a lot of the hotels have special web-rates.

FH booked the honeymoon. He worked with different TA. You may want to try another ( or 3 or 4) travel agents. You don't have to deal with just one.
FH gave them 48 hours to come up with the best package. I think he was talking to 6 at one time. It got it done in 1 week.
And man we have a great deal! It's not Hawai though.

How about Aruba - Its much more affordable and just as romantic. Dont give up if you really want Hawaii. Try some of the suggestions other people had, I think they might help you!

We are doing 10 days in Hawaii for $4500 -- includes r/t air, inter-island flight, hotels and car rental. Our person at Liberty travel basically told me when she thought the airfare was too high and had me call back in a day or 2 so I could get a better price as it fluctuated. HTH
