i cannot stand

My church. Why are they giving me such a hard time?? Why am I sitting at work crying because the priest just called my house telling my family that we are wrong and that my fh has to make confirmation. When I said my mom contacted the diocese- he had to call them too and they changed what they said to my mom what they said to him. Making us look dumb.
I cannot stand all the things that my parents to for that church to treat us like this.
Sorry had to vent

I found another church that is willing to work with us and he we are looking into making the confirmation but I shouldnt be spoken to like that. I feel bad. I feel like I ruined it for my family and our business being at that church.
How do they expect people to come back to going to church and continuing their faith if they act like that.

i dont know where ur coming from but if ur willing to switch churches, i'm getting married at st. pats in smithtown, it's my FHs church. he made his communion, confirmation, etc etc there and i'm not even catholic. i havent received any of the sacraments but they're letting us get married there.....they even offered us a full mass ceremony (we didnt want it tho)...

just goes to show that a lot of the churches follow different rules on this kinda thing...

see they will marry people from different faiths no problem. But since we are both catholic it raises another issue of him completing his catholic sacraments.
There's really no way around it and he's going to have to do it. Our neighbor is a deacon at another church and he said he will work with him if he has to. Im waiting to hear back from him.
Im annoyed because the priest called my mom up (bc I had mentioned that she had called the diocese) to say basically butt out. She is my family - I feel like the older sister from housewives of NJ. We stand by each other and help each other. He in no way should tell me that I cant have my mom help. That's what bothered me. Ever since he came to this church he didn't care for my parents I think. They really do so much for that church and for him not to realize that is unbelievable. For him not even to use our names in the message is unbelievable and so impersonal. My parents have been parishioners for over 30 years and I have to talk to these people through emails. Its poor communication.
(this is really helpful getting these things out)
