I HATE HATE HATE coming to work every day. I took this job to pay the bills for my wedding and now I literally don't even want to get out of bed anymore. How much can one person take? All the crap gets piled on me. I don't want to work in the business world anymore. When I got laid off in January, I said, thats it I am making career change that I will look forward to work each day.Then I got a job offer from an old friend and I took it bc obviously I need to pay the bills. I literally just want to walk out. I have no interest anymore.

i thought I liked it here and some days I do, and it can be a fun place to work but ultimately I keep coming back to the same point - this is not what I want to do with my life!!! so frustrating.

dont worry...i know that feeling..
but you gotta stay strong and be positive...
i always look at it this way from 8:30 - 5:30 its a job. it makes the ends meet and pays the bills. At the end of the day you're going home to a wonderful husband, lots of friends, family, and that is what really matters.

Thats why I decided to start my own business. I hate I repeat getting up the same time, rotating my clothes, buying coffee in the same place and driving to the same place every day at the same time. And doing the same **** with the same people.
I want to work for myself and no one else.

Ditto!!! I am sick of corporate America! I feel like I 'sold' myself out...I would be much more content working in the social service sector but I'm afraid that the pay isn't comparable...so, to compensate, I volunteer.

Dude- I totally understand. but keep in mind the grass is always greener. I just am happy I have a job right now- no matter how miserable it is. things will turn around- the economy is going to get better.

I know you need the $$ to pay for the wedding but you need to leave! I worked in a job for 6 months like that. I would be in tears on Sunday night that I had to go back there for another week. I would count the hours until lunch, stay out for an hour exactly and then count the hours until it was time to go home. I used all my sick and personal days and used every excuse in the book to try to call in.
I got sick more in those 6 months than I had ever been sick in my life. I gained more weight too. The Dr. was worried and ran all these tests thinking there was something wrong with my thyroid and when all the tests came back perfectly fine he started asking about the stressors in my life...low and behold my strong discontent with work was manifesting itself physically.
So please, please, don't make yourself sick!!!
ETS: I've been in a new job for the last 5 months which I enjoy and I haven't been sick once and I even lost some weight!!

I am so sorry - I know how you feel - I HATE my job - everyday is a struggle to get through the work day.
I am praying that the economy improves soon - because one of these days I am going to lose my patience!
