I Can't Believe how much $$$ window treatments cost

I got a price for someone to do all my windows with a simple window treatment (22 windows most are very large, and it would be just a simple valence (sp?))

If I use the 'cheaper' fabrics: $9,000-10,000!!
If I chose the premium fabrics: $$$$$$$

I think I'm going to have to learn how to do this myself.

Where do I begin? Where would I purchase fabric?

who did you go to?

Have you tried Calico Corners? Home Depot Expo? There are even seamstresses that do custom drapes.


Either way, custom window treatments are big bucks. There's no way around it.


If you're thinking about doing it yourself, I know there's the Fabric Mill on RT 110 in Farmingdale.
