i can't believe it happened to me ...

i went to pick up my dress yesterday at Davids Bridal .. i had a 2pm app ... tried on my dress when i got there and it was a mess ... the hem is all jacked up (looks like my 4 yo niece took a scissor to it) it goes all different lengths high then low ... in some spots you see the satin lining ... UGH i had to keep telling myself that this can't be happening ..... after i got the mgr and showed her this horrific job she agreed with me and it is not acceptable .. she ordered a new dress which should be in by June 25 ( 1 week before my wedding) she said as soon as i get the call its in i have to drop everything to come down there to get refitted ... i just can't believe this happened ... i took a gamble and lost ... i just have to keep saying it will all work out in the end (like everyone keeps telling me) i just can't believe it ...

aside from the hem it was soooo nice but the hem was so bad i just couldn't look past it ... UGH so annoying with just 2 weeks left ... but i am thinking positive and trying to stay calm ....

I can't beleive that happened... at least your getting a new one and everything will be ready just in time. In my opinion, I wouldn't get my allterations done with them. I would take it elsewhere.

Are they doing anything for you for the inconvenience? Like taking money off of the price of the dress or something.... If not they should be doing something for putting you through all of this stress!!!!!!!

I hope the new dress comes in on time.... I know it will David's is pretty fast at getting the dresses in once they are ordered.

Fantastic you still love your dress. They will come through don't worry. A fu%^ up like that could really ruin their reputation. I'm sure they will fix it and throw something in for the panick and stress they caused you.

We had MAJOR problems with alterations at David's Bridal for my sister's wedding last May. And we weren't the only ones. I swear...as another BM and I were waiting for the manager, three other girls (one a bride) were complaining as well. Just a suggestion...when the new dress comes in, take it to an experienced taylor that you trust. I wouldn't let them touch it again.

I am so sorry! Maybe you can find someone else to do the alterations and just pick the dress up at Davids Bridal and bring it right over to a seamstress???
My cousin had to bring her gown to someone else when davids bridal screwed it up. It ended up looking perfect. Good luck!

Dont worry! Try not to get yourself nervous and anxious about it-they ordered you a new one and if you are really scared at that point then take it to someone else

First of all, I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you.....2nd...Davids Bridal is horrible...Everyone warned me and I never listened!! I had the most horrific experience when I went in there and will never recommend them to anyone!!! I complained to the corporate office. A couple of my BM's had to go elsewhere to get their dresses altered....It is so horrible that you have to wait for a new dress now and to get it 1 week before your wedding????? My advise to you, call a manager and get them involved. Then call everyday to bug them and ask if it's in...Trust me...they won't call you to tell you it's in....They did it to me 3 times!!!
