I can't believe my baby girl is a married woman! Review included.

Hi everyone! Oh my God, I am so excited to see your thread. You are the greatest bunch of gals!!!! I decided to post a quick review separately though, so it doens't get lost.
The wedding was amazing, and I feel like such a pro now! Please ask if there is anything I can do to help any of you. Everyone's suggestions and kindness to me was phenomenal and very much appreciated.
I am still exhausted and while hubby is still asleep I'll give a quick rundown.
Designer limos - one of the two that were to go to the groom's apartment was an hour late. The driver said it was miscommunication. In the end it actually did give him, his mom and the ushers more time to relax and get ready. They still arrived at the church on time, but they couldn't greet the guests and over-see some details as they wanted. The good side is that they saved a little $$$ - so besides adding to the stress it was so big deal. The drivers of the limos were not up on the driving directions around Long Island so that was aggravating to see. I do believe that was also one of the assignments the day of coordinator had which was not done.
Fine Arts was our photographer and was exceptionally professional and timely. I can't wait to see the pictures but I know they will be gorgeous. We had Jimmy and he took all the shots at our house and at Old Westbury Gardens. I will definitely follow-up with the outcome on the pictures. Bob from Fine Arts was the videograper and he seemed to be really good. We'll see!
Woodbury CC was excellent, and I do have very high standards. There were a very few quirks but I think every place will have some. They were obvious about catering to my husband and myself (aware that we were giving out the tips so doubt) and still we never would have received a glass of cold water if we didn't ask for it. I told them they had to be sure the guests had water but I forgot to follow up. There is so much to do and to think of, but cold water on the tables is very important to us and it did disappoint me to see that. Also one of the servers at a station at the CH was not even embarrassed to say he didn't know what one of the dishes was! He had three items. How can he not know what it was? I ate it, it was delicious, but it may have been chicken, veal or something else???? I complained and sometime later the Maitre-d went and spoke to him. I think she had to go the kitchen to find out herself and after that I don't know what happened. The food was excellent and plentiful and the upstairs room was spacious and beautiful. Everyone loved looking down at the colorful water fountains in the back.
The Harpist at the cocktail hour was nice, but everyone I spoke to afterwards wasn't even aware of her presence. The room was loud and full of excitement. She was very good but hardly heard.
My daughter wanted piece of mind and hired a day of coordinator. She said she is pleased that she had her around. She handled a lot of the little details that may or may not have worked out smoothly without her.
Burton's flowers were gorgeous. I saw the sample CP and made a couple of requests for changes. These changes were not made in the end result, but they weren't major. THe CP's look much more amazing and dramatic at home today than at the large room at the caterer. They looked somewhat small and the thin metal stand looked very understated there. For the money though, we aren't complaining. They give excellent service and value and really came through on the colors and types of flowers requested. The bouquets were absolutely beautiful and when all was said and done we were very happy.
Hubby is up and I must go. I wish you all the best and I'll be around. This was too much fun for me to put an end to. Someday you may even hear that I'm doing wedding planning and coordinating on my own!!! Thanks for everything and especially your prayers and good wishes. It all helped me more than your know. God Bless!
Edited to add: We made many of the things ourselves and it was a tremendous amount of work. At times I questioned the wisdom in overtaking so many extras, but I am very happy we did it. We made church programs, menu cards, and escort cards. The translucent paper is amazingly easy to work with and I hope to post pictures of all of them.
