I am 30!!!!! I don't know why but for some reason, I am very depressed about it My 30th bday is so overshadowed by the wedding, and I just don't feel like celebrating.... any of you go through these feelings?

I just celebrated mine last week .... I guess I have more time between my and than you do, but I get what your saying about the wedding overshadowing your birthday.
If this was any other time in our lives, the birthday would be the hugest deal ....

Thank you! I guess, I have to set the tone and choose to have a good day, but you are right, I think that if the 2 were just a bit more apart then it might be a bit different. Also, my bday is on a wednesday, lol!!

Happy Birthday ! Celebrate being 30 - it's a wonderful time of your life. Don't let the wedding overshadow it. These are two distinct events in your life.
I'l never forget my 30th birthday. One of my bosses was leaving the company, and I had to partake in the farewell dinner and celebrataion. Here I am with some of my co-workers at a Karaoke bar with a bunch of drunk Japanese guys, on my 30th birthday. Tons of fun (rolling eyes here). My mom had to plan my b-day dinner for the day after.
I turn 41 five days before my wedding, so I know that my birthday is going to fall by the wayside. Doesn't matter to me.

I know what you mean, I will be 30 3 days after my wedding and I feel like it will totally be forgotten.
My twin brother is mad too!!!!

happy b-day to my bridesmaid and bestest friend EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you so much girlie!!!! don't let it get you down!! it's ok that your b-day is on HUMP day.....you & Frank can find an appropriate way to celebrate I'm sure and think of it in a positive way.......if you have to have an event kind of 'overshadowing' your b-day, a wedding is a pretty AWESOME thing to be taking center stage!!!! If you were single right now AND turning 30, then you'd have permission to feel a little down.....but girlie, you are getting married!!!!! it's a perfect way to ring in your 30's!!!! and I told you, it's 29 & 366 days! love you!

I didn't go through those feelings only b/c I was 25 when I had my son... so I was well into mommy-hood by 30.
You'll get used to it to the point where you'll forget your age. Someone asked me how old I was the other day and I said 32... lol I forgot I was 33.
