I can't believe this

My uncle was planning to drive down from Maine to NY for my wedding. I just received an email from his wife telling me that they won't be able to make it. The worst part is that their daughters were supposed to be my flower girls!! I bought gifts for them already! And now, 1 month before my wedding I don't have any flower girls! I am so disappointed, I can't believe this.

You don't need a FG. You can adapt and do without her.

I am sorry they are telling you at the last minute. This is not very 'nice'.

AW is there anyway that anyone in your family could go and get them ??? If not I don't have a flower girl and one of my ideas was to give out little bags of petals to my guests who will be sitting at the end of the pew and have them toss themfor me... which I thought would look nice in the pictures. I since changed that because I am having a special isle runner made that will have petals and flowers on it. But that is one idea you could use.

I am so sorry! Did they give you a reason for why they can't come? Even though you had your heart set on having FG's, they are not necessary, so don't sweat it now!

What is the reason .. Maine is not that far.. Dont make yourself crazy over it you can do without a FG .. . It always works out

Thanks ladies. They said their reasons were because of finances. It is upsetting that they wont be there but also that they cancelled last minute! I will just go without a flower girl. It would have been nice to have my cousins there, but we will be fine without it.

I don't have any flowergirls - but my 8 year old male cousin asked FH and I after we got engaged if he could be the 'flowerboy'.

thats cute about the flowerboy. My sister is so excited to be a flowergirl if you want you can borrow her for your wedding! LOL
I'm sure your day will still be fabulous, flower girl or not!
