I wanted to call in sick today, take one of those 'mental health' days, since FH was also off, catch up on laundry, go through old papers, etc...
FH practically shunned the idea and told me to stop moping and go to work, that he had never called in sick a day in his life.
.....What was wrong on my end here???

I am a huge fan of the mental health day!!!
That's HIS choice not to call in sick. If you want to stay home and have the time available you should do it!

i rarely ever take sick days also ... but once in a while, it is def important and necesarry
you weren't wrong ... you can still take a half day

i might just do that. except not go home. Fh totally thought I was staying home to read all day and be angry about my parents STILL not calling.
Like I can't have a day to just catch up with the world? geez...

Ugh, this bothers me! DH tells me this all the time- though he has called in many a sick day for stupid reasons! The difference is he doesn't get paid if he doesn't go to work while I still do! Eff that, that's what sick days are for!!

IW anted to do the EXACT same thing. FH is off also and I just wanted one of those days where we could be as productive as we wanted or veg out completely.
I decided against it but still wish I had.

oddly when I woke up today FH said, 'are you staying home today?'

oh, and clean the fridge. i noticed last night some mold growing, and i thats the main reason i wanted to stay home.....clean things I haven't touched in months!
