I can't find a bedroom set i like.

Everything in the stores is dark wood, and very ornate.

Anything in light wood, looks like someone took a baseball bat to it, since they 'distress' it, and i hate that.

I also don't want marble top furniture. I am so disappointed. The set I want is not in any stores that I have called, most had it about two months ago, but not anymore.

I guess we will move into the house with our mismatched garbage.

As I chatted with you before my set was also discontinued and I couldn't find one I liked better. I do not like very ornate but I wanted medium wood - not too light and not too dark and was having trouble finding one. I was looking everywhere - I finally found a Stanley set I like a lot (not as much as my original but a great 2nd choice) in Huffmann Koos on 110 (I had been to 2 other Huffmann Koos and nver saw this set....). It is a little darker tham medium but not espresso brown. I like it. Anyway, I was up and down 110 on Sunday and feel your frustration. Planning on ordering it from NC next week....

This set is noce too, just not what I was originally loooking for. Thanks for the help, I will chekc their extensive list, I ahve looked thru many websites, bassett, lane, vaughn, stanley, and there is not much i like.

I agree, I dont like the distresseed look. It lookes lik someone took a fork and stabbed the wood
