I still have so much time, but every time I go and look at dresses, I just cant find one I really like. My mother, sister , and fmil love one dress (private label by G). I like it but I feel it is just to puffy for someone my size. Its a ballgown dress and I am only 5'1. Can someone so short wear that?
Oh, I did try on one dress I really liked, but it was $2500, go figure!

i am having the same problem lol but i did see a dress i really really like. the price is holding me back also lol

Have you tried shopping around for a better price? Maybe you can get it from another store for a little less. Good luck

I have a feeling I am going to have the same issue. I haven't actually gone to look yet, but I've looked through dozens of magazines, and don't like anything in them. We have A LOT of time though, so I wouldn't go into panic mode just yet

Okay as far as the ballgown thing goes, if it isn't for you than it isn't for you however I am only five foot one as well and tried on so many gowns. I thought I had to go with a straight simple gown because I am so short and small but my mom and sister both said that thoe styles did nothing for my frame and loved the ball gown style on me. They said it gave me a great shape and flattered my small size. Just someting to think about!
PS There are a million gowns out there, have fun! you'll find one

YES!!!!! I am only 5'0 ......
I am planning on wearing a ballgown because it suits my shape the best....I am small on top, with a small waste and then I bigger on the bottom...butt, hips, legs..ets..
I went to Macys on Saturday and my mom and the sales lady agreed that the ballgown was fine.
The saleslady did say that it is better to not have a lot of work on the skirt since it will have to be shortened a lot though

I would bet you can find the dress you like for cheaper.
I found a dress at a bridal shop and the next weekend on accident found it again for cheaper. so, I bought it!! I love it...just wish I had a pic for christ sake.
don't get me wrong if it's 2500, you won't find it for 500, but it will be a bit lower maybe somewhere else

Thats what I am planning on doing...the advice I was given was to look in Macy's which is pricey and then try to find it in another store. So I am going to try Lillettes and Burtons this week maybe

Try getting a picture of the dress and 'shop around' for it. Remember my dress? I managed to scrape almost $1000 off the price by going to Fantasia's for a dress I fell in love w/ at Macy's. Don't worry, you do have time. It does not matter so much how everyone else loves a dress...you have to love it. If you find a dress...no matter what the skirt...that you absolutely love, that's it. I think you would look gorgeous in a ball gown, A-line, or whatever. Don't forget there are different levels of poofy-ness too! I was so dead set against a ball gown, but that's why I am using the medium slip.

Keep looking...i went sat....found a dress that i never thought i would like on me.... and its one of the best.... dont give up...u have plenty of time :)

just keep trying ... you never know. if you go to a good shop, they'll know what'll look good on you even if you don't like it on the rack. that's what happened to me, the lady made me try it on. I didn't want to and I loved it.
