I have been to see 5 different studios and have 3 more to go but so far I am cant make a decison within my budget. Please help. Pics are important to me. I am looking for a mix of everything.
Here is who I have been to -
Patken - loved the place but didnt like the person they matched us with. (Doug & Steve are booked)
ADA - liked him but very traditional
North Island - LOVED him but too much $$
Ray 0' Connor - no to crazy about
VIP - within my budget but I dont know
Photos of the heart - Tomorrow
Daniel Krieger - Tomorrow.
Marco on Tues.
Please give me your opinion, I need help.

I know everyone hates when I bring it up but I booked with Duet Wedding Studio. Since I told people where I am going, three other couples also booked with them from this site - and no I am not a vendor. I also went to Cassarino, North Shore, VIP, etc. Duet does an amazing job and they give you 2 photographers and a videographer for about $2800 plus not to mention the bridal and parent albums. I am in love with Perceptions.... FI and I met with the owner, Anthony and we are madly in love. It's a small business, not a studio, so he can keep his pricings reasonable. He's in Massapequa. His work was beautiful. It caught my eye, and my FI's. Anthony is down to earth, seems so easy to work with and was like talking to a friend. We got 2 references from people, and they couldn't rave enough... and his pricings are GREAT!!! A full package, proofs, negs, 2 prnt albums, our album with 50 something pics, a 18X20, in the mid 3's. We're on a tight budget, and it fit right in. FM if you want any more info!

I used Marco Photography in my September wedding and my pictures are great. He did a fab job on them and I would recommend him to anyone.

I am using JoVon and could not be happier but they are a bit pricey. I had a hard time finding a photographer also and the other one we were deciding b/w was Sherwood Triart. Look into them b/c they are more affordable and will work in your price range.

We met with almost a dozen photographers before meeting someone that fit our style and budget. Maybe you just haven't found that person yet. See how you like the other studios you have an appointment with. I personally recommend Spelman Studios because that is who I ended up booking. You should check them out. Good luck and don't get frustrated. It is an important but difficult decision.

How much above your budget is North Island? I would consider cutting back on flowers/invitations/favors in order to get the photography that you love...

We fell in LOVE with Kathy and John from Vivid Video and Photography. They are a husband and wife team. Even with our engagement pictures their attention to detail is incredible. Their price were incredible. FM if you want their information.

Jessica Photograhy...they were recommended by a friend and were very reasonable.....little known because they on't advrtise jessicaphotography.com

We used somethinginblue. You can view their work @ somethinginblue.com. It is a married couple Jack and Margaret and they were great. My pics are fabulous. I will try to post some. They were very very reasonable for two photographers and the amount of photos and albums we got. They book fast thought, give them a call.

Irish bride, I can totally relate to your dilemma. I feel in love with North Island Photography and ended up booking them! (They were out of my budget but I overextended myself). I felt great pictures were worth it. I hope you find what you are looking for. Photography is so expensive!

I am using Jovon and while they area little pricier I looked at about 12 different photographers before using them. You can choose different photographers based on the style you like and they will work with you on price. Good luck!
