well, that's not $2,000 anyway. I've gotten samples in from so many places...whiteaisle, notfromabox, invitesite, pippysweets (and i think there's more but drawing a blank). I also spent hours at Lion in the Sun looking through books and nothing is grabbing me. I seem to find something wrong with all the samples I've received. I think they all look better online. I blame my job. I'm an editor (though you'd never know it from my posts); I'm trained to notice these things.
I thought I would get the one below from invitesite.com, only have them print it for me. I think I'm just looking at it too long now b/c suddenly I don't like it at all and I can't get the darn ribbon to tie nicely. I got a sample from pippy's yesterday. I like it the look of a pocket fold, but would need a million changes. Is anyone else this picky??
It's getting late now. I really must get this going. Any suggestions? I like unique, but also simple invitations and really want them to have chocolate brown in them.
UPDATE: So I got 2 more samples in the mail from white aisle tonight and FH and I really like them. I got a sample before and loved the paper quality (it's like cloth) but didn't like the design. So here's the two contenders. We would do it in the larger size and the design and writing in chocolate brown. My dress is lace so it ties in nicely Which do you like better?
Okay I spent months looking for invitations and could not find anything I loved. Finally I ended up going with envelopments so I could design my own (you pick your own papers, colors and design) and I love them so much! They weren't cheap ($1200) but after looking for so long they were worth it for me. A lot of stores carry envelopments but I got mine out of state so I can't recommend any.

Re: I can't find an invitation I love....
I was very picky too. I have over 30 samples of invites. I chose one that is in my album that Pippy Sweets made for me. I found her great to work with. I saw the one you posted too from invitesite. I loved that one. It actually looks nice and compliments your card box (which I love by the way) Just line up your favorites and narrow it down. Don't worry there are other brides that were picky about it too

Try Party City (they carry LOTS of different invites & have 30% off name brands like below...)
This is Carlson Craft (actually go & see the invites)....I picked one in 2 hrs WITH my FMIL & FH...it was the easiest part of the wedding.... after I looked at too many that were $2000.
DANG! Its not posting right. This one too! It's just not posting the others..... they were even nicer than the one I posted above.

We purchased ours from Jean M. They have the styles and you pick the colors and make it your own. They have a web site and a catalog.

The ones below should run you under $500 for 100.
I agree, they have a pretty big selection.

Honestly, you should just go to an invitation store where you can browse hundreds of samples right there. I just couldn't pick out my invites online -- b/c as you're noticing the samples aren't as nice as they look online.
I loved my invitation vendor (went to then for RD invites, too - and my mom went for my shower invites). I used Invitations and Beyond in Oceanside. All 3 sets of invitations were perfect!

I used not from a box and I was very picky too. I looked high and low. I thought there pocketfold had great weight behind it. I was able to use different fonts and different ink colors. I was very happy when I received them.
LIsten, not to be mean, they are just your invites, try to find the best you can and move on to your next item.
Be happy your big day is approaching!!!!!
Best of luck..

I had the same exact problem. I wound up getting them custom made from Lisa at Bella Carta Studios. They are at the printer now...but I couldn't be happier with how they are coming out.

I have a similar problem too! Every time I think I like something.....I see something else and end up liking that too. We're also trying to figure out the price and quality. The ones I really like are too $$$$. Sigh.....
Anyway, I hope you'll find something you like!
