I had the first part of a root canal on Wednesday and my mouth is throbbing!!!

OUCH!! I had a root canal a few years ago and Id rather have my eyes poked out with daggers than to have another root canal. If I remember right though, she should have removed the nerve, so you hsouldnt be in alot of pain. I would call your dentist and see if they cant help you. Mortin or alleve may help! Hang in there!!

Did the dentist not give you some codiene?? My FH had a root canal and the dentist gave him codiene and he slept the whole day and woke up the next morning feeling great.

I hate tooth aches I feel for ya? But a root canal takes out the root? I never had any pain with mine? I would call the dentist....I have had 3 and each one, I felt perfect within 10 minutes of leaving dentist...maybe there is an infection...

When I hade mine doe the pain wasn't in the root (because the nerve was removed) but the gum was very sore from all the drilling pushing and poking. My dentist gave me vicodin and I felt fine
