I just worry about the aftermath when Chris confronts him - Chris is a very obnoxious on the surface kind of guy, but is a good man. I just don't know how this will pan out...

But it was the first time as his wife that I felt betrayed by this guy cause he did it to my husband....it was different, I can't explain...it's like we're a team and if you f with him, you f with me (and I'm very sensitive)...

Chippa - that is true, but it's hard to not take that $hit personally, no matter what day of the year it is......we did have a good time though, hope you did too!

May I ask what they lied about?

Not sure what your situation is, but if you guys were real friends, perhaps you can work it out by being honest and talking about it. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding?

I will have to disagree with those who say friends don't need to lie. Nobody is perfect, sometimes we all make mistakes. I have lied to a few people in the past, usually just small white lies, but a lie none the less...Sometimes people lie because they think the truth is harder to hear, sometimes they lie because they are uncomfortable in a situation, and that's the only way to get out of it, and sometimes they lie because they just made a mistake.

It's up to you whether or not you feel the friendship is worth mending - which means confronting the situation with the understanding that everyone makes mistakes...

I'm not condoning lying - not saying it's right - I just don't want anyone thinking with this post that a. I'm a liar or b. I think that it's ok to lie. I just wanted to say that perhaps it was a big mistake that could be straightened out.

True, you should. But some people are more secure than others, and find it easier to do so...either way, it's totally your decision.

I have NEVER been the type with friends to say SCREW THEM, it's over, for whatever reason - even if they really hurt me, without discussing what hurt me first. I believe that the people I have chosen to be friends with are in my life for a reason, and I can swallow my pride for them every once in a while. If I was lied to and found out, I would confront the situation, and base my final decision on their answer/excuse. That's just me...

Either way, I wish you the best with it......cause you're my friend!!
