BM's. All i ask these girls is to have the shoes dyed the same color of the dress and I guess thats an issue!!!!!! I cant stand it!!!!!!!!!

sorry to hear your BMs are giving you problems
but do they *have* to have them dyed? i only ask cause these days i feel like more girls say 'do whatever you want for shoes as long as they are silver, black, etc.' that way no one has to bother with the dying process and having a pair of shoes they won't ever use again.
just playing a lil devil's advocate. cause my girls dresses were Eggplant--and i didn't want them having to go nuts getting them dyed, so i told them to just have silver shoes.

I did the same thing. My BMs dresses are Lilac and I just told everyone to buy silver shoes. It saves them money and time and that way they can use the shoes again.

well vent away! i understand. i was just trying to give an idea so that maybe you wouldn't have to have any headaches with them. sometimes we forget the $$ that goes into being a BM, and i tried my best to cut out any excess so they wouldn't have to spend any add'l money.
but if you feel like you absolutely HAVE to have them dyed, and you explained that to them beforehand, then you'll probably have to get on them and make sure they do it!

you can, no worries! I hear ya! I'm having the girls buy silver shoes. I even went to DSW & took pics of the ones they can chose from. You think they have gone yet? Nope W T F

you wedding = your decision
plus, most of the time when you buy a dyable shoes, the cost of dying is included. so what's the problem?

Is it the cost? I can understand that, if they bought silver shoes they'd have a nice pair of shoes they could wear again. No one's ever going to wear a pair of eggplant satin shoes again.

Sounds familiar. I had problems with shoes too. They didn't even want to wear the same ones. I was mad at the time but its getting too close now Anything to make your life more difficult eh???

Its your wedding, I thought the cost of dying is also included with the purchase of the shoes? I could be wrong

FYI: Dyable shoes can be dyed multiple times. Tell your girls that they can dye them black after if they want or if they dip them in bleach they release all of the color and they can dye them lighter. Most ppl don't know this but it is true!!

It's okay to vent. That's what we are here for....
But maybe your BM's found shoes that they fell in love with that would also match their dresses?
I told all my girls that they could pick any brown or bronze shoe, I trust them, they all have great taste.
What color are your dresses?

Are the dresses tea length? I can understand if they're tea length, but if they're full length, no one's gonna see the shoes so why dye them?

What color do you want them dyed? I'm the MOH for my MOH's wedding. Her dresses are celadon it was impossible to find shoes to match and dyables were sooo expensive one other BM and I got a pair of yellow satin shoes and used a marker to 'dye' them the right color. The shoes match the dress and I saved myself almost $50 on dyable shoes! If the problem with your BMs is money this might be an option for them.
This is the dress and the color is bordeaux that I picked. I dont care what type of shoe they wear. Some days I just dont get it.
LOL! i'm totally wearing that dress for MrsDaniRella's wedding in September!! i believe her color is like 1 shade lighter, Pomegranate. Very nice dress.

our actual dresses haven't come in yet--but i know its a great flattering dress for most any shape. i think the bordeaux will look AMAZING!!
