FH just called and all the phone lines in our house are not working. So I called them (not very helpful) there is a huge cable issue in my area. Now we may not have phone until Sat. They need to get their act together.

Verizon is the worst. I had no phone service for 6 days a few months ago. I was a psycho woman every time I called. You have to insist on speaking to a manager to get results.

I have the same problem at work... SINCE FEBRUARY!!!!! I am sick of them, too.. FFIL works for them & I still can't get service!

Just so you know....they were short-staffed BEFORE they laid guys off last year and now they are even more short-staffed and althought they brought the guys back they are really backed up. MY FI has maybe had two or three days off in the past two-three months due to all the forced overtime. So when they do come to fix your phones don't take it out on the guys...its the big shots in the headquarters fault!

It took Verizon techs 5 separate trips to our house over a 4-week period to get our phone service hooked up when we moved in. Each time they either said the service would work later that evening when they flipped a switch in the offices, or they left a note saying they'd been there and it was now working (NOT). When tech number 5 came, it literally took about 2 minutes for him to open and look at the box and see that there were a couple of wires reversed. He got it working instantly!
Michelle, I'm guessing your FI is one of the good ones since they have him working so much overtime. Now if only they'd put some effort into training the rest of the guys - they wouldn't be backed up if they weren't making 5 trips to resolve one service call.

I work for Verizon and it is bad there. We dont have enough people and get forced to work overtime everyday It ****s to work 12 hour days everyday and still get no where w/ helping the customers. I am forced to work this up coming weekend once again Karissa

My FH is being forced to work overtime too. I don't see him during the week at all and now they're trying telling them to come in on Saturdays!! Work is really backed up and they are loading the techs up with it. They really don't have enough techs to keep up with the work load.

Ok... I am forced to work 11 hours a day everyday this week until further notice incl. Sat/Sun. so we are trying. This is horrible. No strike but forced overtime.
