just got back form the dentist.. i had to WALK there and back..

i have to be placed on antibiotics b4 he can do anything

im screamming in pain. i cant take it. i dont think i can last thru the night.

why didnt they give you any pain meds?

yea i know i need a root canal. but theres a sickkk infection

the effin stupid dentist i went to cuz my reg dentist was on vaca fkkkkd me up. he shouldve done the root canal 2 weeks ago! instead he gave me a halfffffffffff assssed fillling. my dentist said he didnt even completely fill in the tooth!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel, I went through the same thing a few weeks ago and they had to wait until this Friday before they can remove my teeth bc of the infection.

If you have orajel: severe pain formula it helps numb it long enough to get some sleep and calm down. Another suggestion is a heating pad on that side where it hurts.

Again I hope those antibiotics work fast and you feel better soon.

That's exactly what I went through in the fall.

I called it my lightning tooth... it hurt sort of bad, then a little worse, little worse... then one day I stuck a piece of gum in my mouth and it felt like I had a bolt of lightning go into my tooth. It's lucky I wasn't driving or anything because I just starting yelling expletives over and over and holding the side of my face.

It was funny because while I was thrashing around, my pocket dialed my dad and I had no clue...

All he could hear was: 'Owwww! FU*K! OW! OW! OMGoddddd. FU*KKKKK'

He's was like 'I didn't even know what to think was happening.

But yeah, they had filled a cavity and it just like ... woke it up I guess. It was terrible. I didn't sleep through the night for 3 weeks and ended up getting sick from taking so many pain killers but even still it wasn't keeping it under control.

I'd just go back in there and start crying and thrashing around until they agree to give you the first emergency appointment.

AND CLOVE OIL. In the mean time.

awww Barb! i feel so horrible for you. Try the heating pad. Take a shot of scotch and put it on your tooth till its numb.

theres an infection reesting above the mandibular nerve. i doubt any topicals will make it go away. i was told antibiotics and strong arse ibuprofen will make it go away

Stop punching your face! Use a heating pad- it will help

You put the clove oil on a cotton swab or q-tip and place it on the tooth... it will drip down into the tooth and it numbs the nerve.

Motrin is great because it will reduce the inflammation.

Ice helps because its a distraction.

If you are told you have a bad infection ... you really shouldn't put heat on it... as much as it helps make it feel better. Heat spreads infection.
