Last week, he broke one crystal glass and put soap suds on my pampered chef stone ware (big no no). Then today I come home from driving him to the train station and the whole house is full of smoke. He left a hard boiled egg on the stove. The water boiled away and the egg burned so bad that the egg turned black and crispy. Well I put the pot under cold water and the bottom popped off. THe whole inside of the pot is black. It must have been burning for 20 minutes!!!!!!!!!!
All my new stuff... he is breaking it. And the worst part is that I went on Macy's website and it looks like they discontinued that particular brand of Tools of the trade pots!!!!!!!!!!
We have only been married for two months and he keeps ruining my stuff!!!

The good thing is he didnt do any of those things on purpose. I guess he was just preoccupied.
Now you have a good excuse to purchase new pots. I think I remember you not being a big fan of them anyway.
We havent chatted in so long. I hope all is well and we definitely have to catch up once this wedding is out of the way. Tell you DH I said hi!!!

It's replaceable and it was an accident. Isn't this stuff both of yours?

That does really stink. BUT....my second thought was, if these are your biggest marital problems, you guys are going to do just fine

Exactly. DH woke me up at 1:30am to scold me that I hadn't turned the oven off - after making HIS dinner at 11pm (he works nights).

We were told to stay away from tools of the trade. Eh, burning an egg, breaking a glass - these things happen. As for the other stuff, yes it is annoying, but the stuff is both of yours. Just tell him which items do not get soap. I am sure he feels just as badly.

Yeah, maybe keep a list on a whiteboard in the kitchen, so he'll know which items can't have soap. I know, all your beautiful new stuff and you don't want it to get broken so quickly. If it makes you feel better, FH broke two (yes two) of our coffee pot caraffes in the span of a month.

I'm sorry to laugh, but I'm sorry ---- I'm just picturing your hubby in the kitchen with his aprin on, trying to cook and just everything going wrong.... You'll have to forgive him... he didn't do it on purpose. Be happy that the kitchen didn't go on fire!!! And remember, it's both of your stuff, not just yours...
But on a lighter note... now you have an excuse to go shopping!!!!!

I know what you mean and I'm so sorry! My DH is NOT allowed to touch my stainless pots or wash them after not drying properly and leaving waterspots. They're clueless!
