I DID IT!! I RAN THE L.I. HALF MARATHON!!

Yesterday, I ran the Long Island Half Marathon!

I have never ran a race in my life!

With so many of you girls being so amazing, I have managed to raise $2,180 towards Leukemia and Lymphoma research!

I did it under 3 hours and didnt walk once! It's officially the happiest day of my life!

Many of you girls have insprired me by donating to a complete stranger, thank you for sponsoring me! and to those who have emailed me with stories, you have all had such an impact!

The happiest moment was running down the last stretch and seeing my fiance at the finish line screaming 'GO CELIA'
He had a sign that said 'IM SO PROUD OF YOU CELIA'

and thats when I crossed and cried!

I'm honestly still in shock! I ran the longest and fastest run of my life. Walking to the starting line, I felt like a lamb walking to a slaughter house.

But now I feel I can do ANYTHING!

It was something I have wanted to do for years before I got married and Now 2 months before the day I can say I did it!

I think with all the chaos of planning a wedding, the training and fundraising really helped me focus on what is really important in life, as opposed to freaking out over linens and favors

But what was most inspiring was going onto my website and seeing strangers from LIWEDDINGS donate Thanks girls!! 08 board rocks!!
