Well - I did it!!! I just got off the phone with the Spa at Belle Meade in Setauket to schedule my first waxing!!!!!! OMG!!!! I'll be leaving work early Friday to get it done!!! I'll have to remind myself to take aspirin with me to the office that day!!!
Plus - I made my appointment for the week before my shower to get my nails done for the first time. A french manicure!! YAY!!!
Now I hope I don't regret any of these decisions!!
Edited for: So - I just got back from my appointment and it went well! The pain wasn't bad - I took 2 advil beforehand and I flinched just a few times (I can't count on my finger the number of times). Here's my one question for those that have had waxes - are you perfectly smooth (no rough spots) after each wax or does it get better in time?

Depends on what all you're getting waxed... if you know what I mean.
The eyebrows don't hurt, but the bikini is rough!!!!! There is some numbing cream you can get for like sore muscles, etc. You can put that on before you go in and get the wax. It will help a little.

if it was what i think it is..there is this stuff called 'Tend Skin' in a nice blue bottle (you can get it in a beauty supply store, it is a lil $$) it is good after a couple of days it is good to put on it prevents ingrown hairs in case you get them

it is PAINFUL i am not going to lie but it is WELL WORTH it.

So here's a question for you all - I know to wear loose clothing, but what type of underwear b/c they told they will provide something, so wax doesn't get on my clothing and I my jaw just about dropped when I heard this, so I don't know what to do!
Can you all tell that I have NEVER done this before?!

I went my first time last month and there was still some hair, I waited a day and just plucked the stragglers out. I decided on getting it done one more time to see how well the pain goes. I reallly reallly don't like letting it grow in before getting it waxed though.

Yeah - I guess this is what I'm going to do too. If I don't see any difference after the next visit - screw waxing!!!!!!!!
