I did my good deed for the year..... (Shameless self promotion inside)

I went to FH's softball game in Philly last night..... you know, home of the upwards of 200 murders this year, so far.

We got there, and there was a LV wallet on the bench, and, figuring since it's a bunch of lawyers, it belonged to one of them. So, after a few minutes, I noticed there was stuff hanging out of it, all over the place, and on the ground. I went up and saw a name on a credit card, and asked if it belonged to anyone. It didn't.

I went through it, and found a AAA card, and a license, but, nothing with a phone #. So, I called AAA. I explained the situation, and the guy I spoke to wasn't sure what to do, he asked his supervisor and then they decided to conference me in with the call to his home.

They got his mother on the phone, and she said he was out, but she would call him, and I gave her my cell #.

A few minutes later, he called me back, and came down to the field to get his wallet. He was really nice and thankful, and said he was riding his ATV there on Sunday, got to the gas station, and realized his wallet was missing. He came back, and figured he'd never find it there.

So, this wallet sat there since Sunday!!! It was Tuesday night! Must have been a fake LV!!!

Oh, I forgot to add.

After the game, we were walking back to the cars, to go to the bar, naturally. And, one of the girls on the team, who is a summer associate, was getting into her car. I was walking towards her passenger side, our car was in front of hers, and I saw her back window was broken. I walked up, thinking maybe it was already broken, and there was glass everywhere.

Someone broke into her car, left everything in tact, and just took her wallet. In which she had all of her credit cards, and her dads. I feel so terrible. In broad daylight, right on the street behind the field, someone broke into a car. What balls that takes.

They obviously knew what they were doing...... she has a late 90s model Explorer..... and on either side of her there was an Audi.... and I think an Accord. One of which had another girls bag right on the front seat.

Yah- so nice of you- you should go and get one of those costume halos and wear it all day. You deserve it- haha

What was up with the girls leaving bags and wallets in the car??? I wont even leave my cd case out. One of my fiends wont leave he cigairettes out b.c she is affraid someone will be desperate and break into her car for them,,,

oh well,....lesson learned

Yeah, I know. I guess it's just convenience? You never think your car will get broken into when you are like.... a couple hundred feet away?? (I'm terrible at estimating) We were right there.... so scary.

It's funny, up until recently, I drove a POS '98 Cavalier, and I had a removable faceplate on my radio..... and the thing hardly even worked, it was worth sh1t.... but, I still took it out EVERY time I got out of the car!

Succks about the girl's wallet getting stolen - in broad daylight no less...

I'm no better though, I constantly leave my car running when I go into 7-11 (and it's not in the greatest area either)....
