so today I was with FH and FFIL and I was talking about my job. I hate my job. So, I was in a really bad mood and I wasn't thinking before I spoke, and I said some stuff about my job and co-workers that I kind of regret saying because it was of poor taste and FH agreed. I always think before I speak but I was in a terrible mood today because I'm going back to work tomorrow. I know FFIL probably doesn't care but I feel so embarrassed. The next time I am in a bad mood I am seriously sitting in silence and keeping my thoughts to myself.
Ok, vent over. Can anyone at least relate? It would make me feel better.

nope. Honestly he probably didn't give what I said a second thought. I just over-think things and I feel like I just went on about my job a little too much and said some things about it that were in poor taste.

Thanks, but I just feel embarrassed because I also hate complaining like that in front of other people. I was really going to town lol

I get that feeling sometimes too, sometimes I think I speak too soon around FIL's, don't worry, i'm sure they forgot about it by now!

I think you're making more if it than your FILs did. You were obviously upset and frustrated. So that's a 3-minute vent of bad language vs. the years they've known you to be kind and level-headed. No big deal! Everybody loses it now and then, even your FILs. They understand, I'm sure.
