I didn't get the job

I am so bummed. I am really annoyed. Now I feel like I am going to be stuck in the position I am in for the rest of my life. I really thought I had it, and I was so happy. Danielle even had a dream that I got the job.

The woman that is the manager told me that she was impressed with everything she heard from the other woman that interviewed me. She said she had no idea that I wanted to move up from the position that I am in now.

She said that she had no idea I was so intelligent, knowledgable, or Technical. She said that alot of people, Managers now have a different outlook of me.

She also mentioned that she was going to try to help me in my career advancement, and talk to someone that may have another position for me doing HTML. This position was supposed to be part of the position that I interviewed for and she was saying that maybe we can make the HTNL, Web site stuff all for a seperate position. I don't know if anything will happen though, because I spoke to 2 other people that know this woman, and they told me not to expect anything from her, and that she is just talk. I really hope that is not what it is....

I really thought I was finally going to get a break.....

I just went through all this. I was at teh same job for 3 years (I'm an attorney). No raise, no added benefits, nothing the whole time I was there.

There was a job I totally wanted and came so close. WHen it came to the final interview, I choked. I was so upset I cried so much FH took me to Barney's for a makeover and then to buy me a hat. After a fwe more months of interviewing, I finally ended up wtih 2 offers. My new job is an amazing opportunity for someone my age. Things are slow now so my hours are 9-5 and I am making a ton more $$

It is my belief that some divine plan was saving me for the right job.

I have been here for 4.5 years. I have had 2 promotions, but I have been in the same position for 3.5 years and I have done the same job for 4.5 years. I am bored, and I am ready to move on. I want to be challenged, and I want to enjoy my job again.

sorry to hear you didn't get the job, Scott.. I know the phrase 'everything happens for a reason' isn't what you want to hear right now, but I do believe that. The RIGHT opportunity is around the corner for you!

i'm sorry, i know exactly how you feel. i recently got turned down for a job that i really thought i was gonna get. they even told me they were very impressed with me at the interview, but they chose the person w/more experience. anyway, don't let it get you too down. the right thing will come along eventually!!!
