I do not have a green thumb... question about bamboo plant....

Over the weekend, I went to Ikea and bought all the stuff to put with my new bamboo plant. It is in a glass container, with glass beads, and water. I then put in the bamboo and have been keeping it near a window, am I supposed to be cleaning this container out once a week, do I mist it also? What else do I need to do to take care of it??? HELP!

I have a bamboo plant. I received it as a wedding favor from my friends wedding last November. It's a small one and it's in a small round bowl. It sits in rocks and I have to water it every few days. It really hasn't grown much...I'm not sure why not? I leave it in front of a window, so it gets plenty of sun. I would think after this much time, I would've had to re-plant it by now. Good luck with yours. If you find out any good tips for me...let me know!

my dad has one tht he planted outside by the pond we bought him for father's day. it seems to be doing pretty well, but i'm not sure what he does to take care of it. maybe they like the outdoors?
maybe they like lots of water?

I have a few bamboo plants and one thing that I have learned is that they need lots of water. I always make sure the water is up to the top of the container that they are in!!
