My mom is writing to me about my new little nephew and how cute his little tongue is when he sticks it out and how he makes all sorts of funny faces...and it's just driving me nuts!!!!! If I don't get to see this kid soon, I'm just going to have to have one of my own!! In fact, I do want one of my own whether or not I get to see him soon!!

I don't knwo about the crying with an accent, but I REFUSE to be called Mummy. I want little Tristan to say MAA as if he were a sheep...or from north central Long Island

I was in the grocery store (or supermarket...whichever you prefer) around Halloween time and there were these two little kids in a shopping cart, just begging their mother: Mum-my, pleeeeeaaase, Mum-my!!!
They wanted her to buy them candy. When she wouldn't give in, they started chanting: Sweet-ties! Sweet-ties! Sweet-ties!
It kind of loses something in the translation to chat forum...you really had to hear their little English accents in person...If I were their mother, I wuold've strangled them both!
Uh, oh...this coming from the girl who just announced that she has Baby Fever!!

I ALWAYS call candy sweeties! DH's mum ( ) is from Scotland and she always calls candy sweeties - so it stuck with me and I say it all the time now too, although my Jersey girl/Long Island accent isn't HALF as cool as it sounds when she says it
