I don't get it...what is the point of registering!?!?!?!
FH and I both live at home so we registered for everything we needed and wanted, makes sense, right?
well I have become obsessed with stalking my registries and someone bought me 8 yes i repeat 8 leather dinner mats....I DID NOT REGISTER FOR THESE!!!!! why did they buy them...and leather no less check out my registry they are hideous!!!

Because people think its what you need that you didn't register for. I understand it, but I don't agree with it at all. There will be plenty of thing we won't register for like fine china (I'm inheriting my aunts china ) a blender (I have a brand new one from my apartment) etc. and people don't realize this.

wait, they add things to your registry if someone buys something that wasn't already on it? that's so weird!!

It could be that they bought those for themselves but it was scanned with the item or items they bought for you. When it was my sil's shower there was candy and a chia pet! Luckily no one gave her those items as gifts!!!!

yeha i know BBB if they say its a registry and give tem the paper with the bar code it adds itself to the persons registry and if the cashier doesnt ask what is and isnt on the registry you will find alot of crap on it like candy...magazines....if you go to a BBB that has the drug store you might even get shampoo and tampons!!!!!!!!!!! lmao

That's a good point! I remember reading a few years ago that people bought stuff on the registry and a pack of gum was added

LOL That's so weird I'm kinda excited, we just finalized our registry's on Tuesday. I went on to one of them & items were bought already A weird combo of gifts but I'm non-the less. Nothing extra was added as far as I know.

OMG Where did you register? We registered @ Crate & Barrel & Bloomingdales and you can exchange @ both
