I don't know..

I didn't have an engagement, and I'm sure I'm not but how are people supposed to know where we are registered? Do we tell them with our save the dates??? or what???? It would've been nicer if we had an engagement party?
I know it sounds selfish...but I dont want to be registered for no reason...you know??

They will ask, word spreads plus that usually goes out with your shower invites if there is no E.P.
I wouldn't think lots of people will be buying you gifts just yet anyway if there is no E.P. so you still have plenty of time.

ok. thank you... however my sister, who is my MOH doesn't think i'm gonna have a bridal party either. i feel so special...no one really cares too much in my family...oh well

well i had an engagement dinner - we didnt register for it

but lots of people sent us gifts any way - people who we didnt invite to the dinner. . .

people usually only get those types of things for the shower

i am sorry that you feel that way. . . i am sure that your family cares. . .they probably just dont know how to show it in the traditional ways - maybe you should let them know these kinds of things are important to you?

Oh they know how i feel. i guess because they already went through this with my sister they feel its not as important...i dont know..my mom keeps saying she doesnt wanna come blah blah blah. i should just not invite her hahahaha jk!!!!

every wedding should be celebrated as a unique and special event - because it is!!

I know how you feel. I didn't want to have an engagement party because my brother just did and I feel like its begging for gifts - I just didn't think noone would acknowledge my engagement otherwise. Most of the time, the registry is for the bridal shower anyways!
