Well, now that we've switched to having the ceremony at a church, I don't know if we want to see each other before the ceremony? First we didn't have time because everything was taking place at the country club, but now we'll have time in between the ceremony and reception. We didn't want to at first, but after thinking about it, it made sense. Sharing that special moment when you first see each other in private, and then taking all the pictures. But now we wouldn't have to. I don't know! Both ways seem really good. What do you guys think?

I don`t know what I want to do now...
I also got married in the church and hadn't seen my husband beforehand. I can't explain the feeling I had seeing him for the first time going down the aisle, but it was wonderful.

I don`t know what I want to do now... Its a personal choice
We didn't see each other until I entered the church. Even though we had a 5:00PM ceremony the day flew by with hair, makeup, flowers, photographer. Im glad we took our time and I savored every moment. Seeing my husband at the alter waiting for me was a wonderful experience.

We are taking our pics before the ceremony because the ceremnoy is at the reception site and we would like to attend the cocktail hour.
But if I were getting married in a church, I would wait to see my FH until I was walking down the aisle.
I am fine with our decision, but I would prefer to wait for the walk down the aisle 'til we see each other. But this way made more sense.
Remember, no matter what, where, when you see each other for the first time on your wedding day, it is going to be a special moment.

What we are doing
I love the idea of walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the 1st time but because our ceremony is 3pm and sunset is at 4:49 if we wait then I cannot have outdoor photos. So Scott and I discussed both options ALOT and decided to take photos first. It was a hard decision but many people told me it really takes a lot of pressure off both people due to time issues, and it does not take away the experience of walking down the aisle to him. We are going to make the 1st time we see each other very special with help from the photographer and video guy. No one else will be with us except for them. I have heard it is a very emotional experience and am looking really forward to it.
It is a very personal decision. But I will tell you that you have enough time in between the ceremony and cocktail hour to wait it you want.

What we did
We also saw each other before the ceremony, and made it a special moment. We also made sure to get it on video and by the photographer, and it was SOOO special. It takes up two whole pages in our album (one page is a composite of my walking towards him, and the large one is of us hugging and crying). Good luck!

Wait-when will you be able to see his face waiting for...
you at the end of an isle! It's a magically moment. BUT doing the pictures first is a time saver later in the day.
