i have seen, at weddings, on a table, pictues of the bride and grooms parents and grandparents on their wedding day ... i would love to do this. when i brought it up to my mom she was like o are you going to put a picture of your grandfather and your grandmother or your grandfather and his second wife? I was like ummm grandpa and grandma because even tho she passed away, she will always be my grandmother. my mom understood but she was just concered about how my step grandmother would feel. she is an amazing and sweet woman who we all love ... but i think it would be odd to put a picture from there wedding ... they were both old haha ... i am def going to use my grandmother and grandfather's pic ... but is that the right thing to do? do you think my step grandmother will be hurt?

Truthfully i would put both pictures...i think its kind of disrespectful to your step grandmother to not include her but thats just my opinion, ultimately, you have to do what you feel comfy with hun!

hmmm this is a tough one Mich, what if you do your grandma who passed away in her own photo and then the wedding photo of your grandpa with your step grandma? would you not want to do that? It might hurt her feelings

I am in a similar situation with my step mom and mom wording for my invites. m mom passed away so i wanted to somehow include her but not sure how. I think it is fine for u to do ur gma and gpa and then maybe have a pic of gpa and step gma incorporated some other way so she could feel included

Can you put two pictures? One picture of your grandpa and grandma and then another with your grandpa and step-grandma?

I was thinking about doing this as well but I was just going to do one person in each pic. So it wouldnt be a pic of my Grandpa and Grandma. For exapmle.... It would be my Grandma on one table and my Grandpa on another.

Yea this isnt a bad idea either ... i just thought since it was our wedding and since one set of grandparents were married for over forty years before my grandma passed away and my other grandparents for over fifty years i just thought it would be cute ... but i guess its more important to not hurt my step grandmother's feelings ... like i said shes awesome and i bet she wouldnt even mind ... but i dont want to be disrespectful since we have such a good relationship with her!!! thanks girls

we did my parents, DH's parents, MIL's parents, FIL's parents, my mom's parents, and then my dad's stepmother and late father. we didn't include a wedding picture of my dad's mother and father because she passed away when he was 3, and i've never met her... and i didnt want to stir up any issues with his stepmom

I see where you're coming from but I think you're step-grandmother's photo should be included up there! I'm just putting myself in her shoes looking at the photo of your grandfather and grandmother and no photo of her. Then again, she might completely understand.

It sounds like you have a nice relationship with your step-grandma so just do both, while it sounds like she woundnt care if you didnt put her she would prolly really feel nice that you did include her, and I dont think it takes away from the pic of your grandma with your grandpa.
