FH hasn't asked for much for the wedding. He is rather persistant though about having a tree - yes I said a TREE! I'm warming up to the idea and know that it would be a great conversation piece and the guests would remember it.
The problem that I am having is that with having the tree - we need smaller centerpieces on the table so that it doesn't take away from the tree itself (we would want that as the focal point in the room).
Below are pics of the tree...and two candle centerpieces that I like. Do you think that candles in the middle with rose petals would be okay - or should I just go for a smaller flower arrangement??
HELP!!!
Note - the picture shows 4 trees...we would only be having one or two!
I don't know what you mean by a tree (the pics won't come up), but maybe you can go witht that theme for the tables by scattering leaves around candles on the tables, instead of having roses? And maybe the tree could be a memorial tree for any loved ones who aren't there that day who you would want to dedicate it to? I would love to see pics once you're able to get them on here.
Okay... just saw the pics. They're beautiful! At first, I thought 'a tree?'... but, now that I saw the pictures, they're REALLY nice! I would downplay the tables, though. just candles (with maybe leaves, like I mentioned above) would be so pretty!

I have to honestly say i love the tree!! my fh wants 2 smaller trees, but inside the church, all with votives hanging on them, b/c he seen it on a photo when we went to our florist..then they would go to the reception hall on the side of our table..as for our centerpieces, they are candelabra pieces much like the second one u posted... i dont think it's such a bad idea, and definitely a conversation piece! good luck!

I'm doing a tree, too I think it is really memorable... Oh and for centerpieces I'm doing flowers with some leaves and curly willow as filler.

I LOVE the tree idea - i really wanted an outdoor reception with candles hanging fromt he real trees but that's not happening....
where do you get them from? is that something the florist has??

I love it, but not to burst your bubble, that 'tree' is a chuppah. If you look towards the back of your photo, you will see a white cloth in the top back part of the pick, and in the center, there is a small table with a wine glass. It is traditionally used for the jewish wedding ceremony. I think this is one of the most beautiful chuppah and asiles that I have ever seen. You could totally incorporate that into your wedding decor, but traditionally that is used for the ceremony. HTH

just a suggestion: you could do something like this at each table, and then the tree is your centerpiece. This is from a bridal show at JT, and it is from Flowers by Brian.
I also have a bigger pic (this was resized) that I could email you if you are interested.

I like the first centerpiece with the roses. It's different. I say go for it and do little votives with rose petals on the table if you want.

I am with you were are the trees going just off to the sides???? I liked the 1st CP witht the flowers in the middle
