I have been going to my hair dresser ever since the 8th grade. She is awesome and I completely trust her with my hair for the wedding. Everytime I see her she is always talking about styles she can do for me for the wedding and it all sounds exactly what I want. They issued is she doesnt travel and my make up artist is coming to my house. So we would have to shuttle girls in two shifts between my house and the hair salon(while girls are getting their hair done the others are getting makeup and they they switch) My hair dresser is all the way out in Bayville and I'm trying to keep my wedding day as stress-free as possible. Plus I'm nervous about traffic on a friday afternoon and running behind with everything. My makeup artist gave me some people that she knows that does great hair and that will come to my house but I feel so bad not using my hair dresser..........................What should I do?

honestly, if she won't come to your house I would find another hair dresser...you don't want to be running around and worrying on your wedding day.

I agree. I would find someone who will come to you. You'll have enough to worry about that day. I would just explain to her that you would love to use her but you really need someone who can come to your house that day and that it will be too inconvenient for everyone to have to take shifts and all. She'll understand.

Yeah I agree with everyone. You don't wanna be running around and stressing yourself out. I would try to find someone closer to you or find someone that will come to your house. Just explain the situaion to your hair dresser and I think she will understand. Good Luck

OOOH! Do you mind telling me who you use bc I'm getting ready in Bayville and don't know anyone good around there anymore!
Sorry unrelated. But I agree that you shouldn't have to be stressed on your wedding day, if she REALLY wants to do your hair maybe she'll make an exception and go to your house.

Tell her it would mean a lot to you if she could do your hair and then explain how you wont be able to get to her... maybe she'll make a special exception for you.

Plain and simple...talk to her and ask her if she will come to your house. If she says she can't, then you can just tell her that you really need someone to come to you on your wedding day. It's kind of an easy out...she can't provide you with what you need, so you have to look elsewhere!

I feel so bad I dont know how to tell her....plus my mom goes to her too and she is really pushing me to use my regular hair dresser. Shes not helping me at all

Personally, I would talk to her about it and explain the situation. Can she not come to you because she works in the salon that day? Or that she just doesn't want to? If she just doesnt want to, then you need to do what's going to make you and your girls most comfortable. If it's that she's already working, well...maybe she can call in sick if it's worth her while, ahem.

i am in a similar situation... i love my hair dresser, she is an awesome COLORIST... but my tirals so far havent been too great.... she tthinks she is booked for my wedding.. she will bring 2 other stylists with her.. how do i tell nher that i think i want one of them to do my hair?
sorry to get off topic, i found the opportunity to vent..
i think in your situation it is easier, you would love for her to come but she wont travel... i think she wil understand maybe she will change her mind!!

OMG exactly my hair dresser has a few other girls she is looking to have help....she is the owner of the salon which is why she cant travel. I mean I totally understand why she isnt traveling but she already feels that she is booked. I have no idea what to do. I just hate being the one to break bad news. I dont deal with it well.
Ok now on to your situation....sometimes people specialize in color but lack in up-dos. Just let her know that you appreciated the trials but went a different route for the actual wedding day. Maybe by complimenting her before you tell her your not using her she wont take it bad

I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF THAT!!!! I didnt even think to ask if the other 2 girls could go to the house. That would solve my problem right there. Hopefully either Cindy or Angie would be able to come to the house to get the girls ready. Fingers crossed
Ok your turn........Can you use one of the other girls from your hair dresser? Maybe book a trial with one of them and see if they are better. I'm all for going for the cheaper price but I wouldnt compromise on something as big of a deal as your hair on your wedding day. See if you can get a trial with the other girls and if they are better then you use one of them adn have a BM go to your girl. That could solve your problem
