My Mary Kay Consultant is doing my make-up and my friends mom is doing everybody's hair. I kinda lucked out knowing people in these categories.

I don't know what to do either!!! I have emailed about 10 makeup and hair people and one two responded (both for makeup only!!) I thought this would be the most fun part of the planning but it is the WORST

I used Sachiko Yanase for both hair and makeup. She did hair and makeup for me, MOB, and MOG and hair only for most of the BMs. We were all very pleased with her work. There are some non-pro pics in my album and she has worked on some national ad campaigns as well. FM me for more info.

my biggest issue is cost. I know it seems lame to consider this but I have come across some day of beauty that was very close to the price of my gown!
in the grand scheme of things that doesn't work for me.
Then I have to consider my BP. 5 of my BM are coming in from out of state and are paying air fare, hotel and car rental costs as well as dress, shoes hair and make up. My goal is to keeo their cost as reasonable as possible. Even the potential $65 up do here is more than my kansas cousins would ever think of paying.
On top of all of this, we need to be ready and at RH by 10:30 for pre ceremony photos and a rehearsal. Some make-up/hairstylist wanted to be at my hotel at 4am! HELL NO!
I found what I hope turns out tobe a great option in huntington. b/f and I are getting hair and make-up trial on 2-9-08 so I will post pics for you all.
$65 up do $65 make up
we shall see!

HIGHHHHHHHHLY recommend Mia from BLounge!!! She did my hair and makeup and also my mom's for my wedding and she did a really great job. Definitely worth at least a trial!!!
Also, Stacey from Fresh Face Forward did my makeup for TWOTY and she did a great job. Tina from Chic Hair Trends did my hair for TWOTY and also did a great job.

I am using Fresh Face Forward, they are a vendor on here I believe they are listed under makeup but they do both hair & makeup.

I don't have either yet also! I went to m i a but it wasn't for me so now i am on the hunt again. I have a trial set up with r o s ean na A m a do r e for hair next month and a make up trial set up for March with J i l l Ha r t h so hopefully that works out!

Kim, that was my problem, someone I was pretty sure I wanted for makeup was already booked and then others have minimums and it's just me as of now. I'm not sure if Fresh Face Forward has a minimun or not, but I've heard great things.

Im so lost as well... Ive called some places but I cant bring myself to pay 300 for hair and makeup... its not that worth it to me.... Im really considering only getting my hair done, as much as I want someone to do my makeup as well! And I cant, actually refuse to have my girls pay 75+ for hair.. thats not fair to them.... It suckss because my wedding starts at 11am and we need to be done by 930... Meaning having to start no later than 5

Definitely check out Stacy Pitt for hair. She is AMAZING. A few other brides on the board used her (07 brides) ...and she's really popular with the knotties.

I am using Jacqueline Nicole for make up- VERY happy with my trial and reasonably priced from others I saw.... I'm using airbrush
For hair, I am using the ROCK sisters . I had my trial with Sarah Rock & she is great! Since I have 6 BM's- Sarah & her sister will both be at my location.

I had my very 1st makeup trial yesterday with Mia from *************. I LOVED what she did, she's creative and super sweet. I booked her on the spot.
