I just called the church to set up an appt. to meet with the priest and I got very nervous before calling... he wasn't there but I just left a message on his VM to call me back so we can set up a time to meet.

I'm always nervous when I talk to the priest - i actually talked to mine today on the phone too LOL
When we met w/ him i was totally freaking out - I'm afraid he can see through me and see my sins LOL

I think I am getting over it but I agree with Jessie - there is some just something super serious and important about the church. That's (for us church brides) where the actual wedding takes place. Padre has mucho power LOL

I haven't attended church regularly in years and we're marrying at FH's church where he DOES go every week so I expected to be super nervous, and Father Joe is a little odd sometimes, but I was surprisingly calm and super excited to meet with him. But I can understand the weight of what it means to have that done, it's the solemn part of the getting married, so serious.
But he's still just a guy

OMGGGGG I was sooooo nervous too!!! It ended up that I had to meet with the deacon, not the priest and I was still sooooooooo nervous - FH thought I was nuts. He was soooo nice and the meeting went really well and even so, during our meeting, I still couldn't loosen up! Try not to be nervous, you'll enjoy the experience much more - I wish I would have done the same bc it was a really nice day.

I was so nervous when I had to call the priest it took me a week of picking up the phone and hanging up before I actually decided to dial and call.... Don't know why guess like you said your afraid hell see right through you or you will say somthing you don't think hell like. But you'll be okay once you meet him....

FH thought I was nuts too. I called him to make sure the date I was going to set up the meeting was cool with him, and then i said 'What do I say to him? I dont' know what to say! I'm scared to talk to him.' And Fh just said 'Umm, he's a human being. Talk to him like a normal person' lol

I was super nervous because neither of us have a home church...I picked one that was close to us and looked beautiful
I just told the truth so it was all good...but I'm not catholic..but I agree I always felt like the priest could see all my bad deeds

lol I got really nervious before I called my church and I've been going there forever and they already know that I want to get married there its where my sis got married my bro might get married (if their wedding is still on long story).
