I went to see my dress last week....i was so excited. when i had originally ordered it, it was too small so i thought this would be a great experience b/c finally MY DRESS would fit ME! but it was huge in the top...and i dont know...its just not what i picture.
i dont know what to do! i mean, i have to suck it up...i dont know what to do. sorry just needed to vent

I went thru this too and i think its bc we put SO MUCH into our dresses that we are let down when its not glowing or something.

oh Lynn. I'm sorry, but remember, the dress still doesn't fit you. once you have it altered, it will change the appearance. you will look beautiful and FEEL beautiful! chin up buttercup!

I'm with the ladies - its eventually going to be fitted to your body - you will love it all over again. I've been going through the same thing, so I think it's natural!

besides the fact that it was too big... what didn't you like about it? Maybe if its too simple, you can add more work? or even add rhinestones to your dress to make it glow little more? Just a suggestion...

Wait until you have all your attire on. The attendant at RK told me that you don't get the full picture until you have it all put together: jewelry, headpeice, veil, etc. I'm sure all of that and getting it altered will change your mind again. I think we all go through our love/hate relationships with our dresses.

I think what i dont like is that i feel like i am going to prom...i dont feel like a bride. but i havent really felt like that since i started this wedding planning..but im happy to hear im not the only one and hopefully i will feel better once i start my fittings.
this is a pic of the dress...but not on me (i dont want to post that till after the wedding.)
Your dress is absolutely gorgeous!!!! It is common to feel that way though about your dress!!! Don't sweat it! I felt like I was going to the prom up til the other day! Even at my shower, I didn't feel like I should have been opening presents! Just weird!!!!

Everyone here knows I went through the same exact thing. But you know what? I tried on MY gown yesterday, and while it doesn't fit me perfectly, I managed to fall in love with it again.
And don't worry about feeling 'bridal' just yet. It will all of a sudden hit you at some point. It didn't really hit me until recently!!

I love the little sleeves.. very delicate looking...
I go back and forth with mine in my head too... there are so many dresses that I think it could make you nuts... go with your first instinct on the dress... it will look great in the end..

I know how you feel... I am going through the same thing... everyday I seem to change my mind about my dress!!!
