Its people like this who make ebay not a nice place
This is twice in one week from 2 different sellers.
I got something and paid 6 dollars in shipping. The item arrived and it had a label on it that it was mailed from the person's office and apparently didnt go to a post office so she scammed 6 extra bucks from me.
today i received something else, i paid 2 dollars in shipping i ask why was there a 37 cent stamp on it.
OOHHH..makes me so mad....

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
why do people do that?? its not nice to hike up the price of shipping to cover the costs of shipping material.
the item i got today with the 37 cent stamp on it where I paid 2 dollars for shipping were stickers. They were in a regular envelope...
Last week's item was a box that was being reused to ship.
no materials used here

I bought defective cameras off ebay and when I complained, the company bad-mouthed me and said I was a phony. I couldn't believe it.Not only did I get ripped off but they were *#@holes as well. I will NEVER shop off ebay again!

I can only speak for myself. I charge for boxes I buy, bubble wrap and tape. I also charge slightly more if I think it may be a bit more when it gets weighed. If you don't agree with the shipping costs, don't buy from that seller. I don't when I feel something is too much.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
I think I am going to have to be a little more selective in my ebay purchases. I always think I am getting some type of a deal.
I just dont like to spend so much on shipping and it comes in its regular box (no material required) or they charge so much for shipping then have there work ship it.
thanks

The seller is also entitled to charge for 'handling'. As long as their charge is stated in the auction, and doesn't increase when the auction is over, then I really don't think the seller is doing anything wrong.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
Chippa, Not all people do that.. Frank just sold something, a flat monitor, and frank went to ship it at his aunts business so the guy wouldnt have to pay the shipping cause it would have been alot of money. and the guy was SOOOO thankful!!
So not EVERYONE does that...

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
Valenia: the item I won of last week was 6 dollars in shipping (was marked on the auction) and when the item arrived it had a label on it mailed from the person's office and it wasnt 6 dollars.
the stickers was a set 2 dollar shipping but when it arrived today they were in a regular white #10 sized envelope with a regular 37 cent stamp on it.
its things like that, that upset me.
What brings on this is the constant reminder is last year FI bought a book and the guy charged FI 5 dollars in priority shipping and the guy wanted to be slick and mail it from his friends job and the item wound up getting lost because he put the wrong address (and the guy didnt put his return address) and the book wound up getting destroyed. It was a book that is in a series he is reading and its discountinued.
He also had anothe incident where he paid for a special shipping and it was shipped regular mail.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
I agree with you about the $2.00 to put something in a regular envelope. That seems excessive. I read that some people inflate the shipping & handling as a way to make more money that is not part of the auction price that is charged a fee.
But at the same time, if I had to purchase a box, bubble wrap, and other packaging materials and take the package to the post office, I would want to be reimbursed for more then just the actual postage.
It took me a while to remember to check the S&H costs before I bid.
Sorry for the bad experiences.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
just an FYI, when people ship things from their companies don't assume that they are not paying for it. I often ship things from my firm (not for e-bay) and the shipping costs comes up on my monthly expense report and I have to pay it.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
Before you leave negative feedback, email the seller if you are not happy. Believe it or not people work hard to accomplish their feedback rating.

Re: I dont like some sellers on Ebay
I agree on that one. I always email the seller before I leave negative feedback because I try to resolve the problem. I dont like to leave negative feedback unless it is really well deserved (like sellers who take your money, never reply to your emails and never ship your item)
