I go to change my name (finally).

I get on the first line and the nice lady tells me go to stand in from the thing so Mean Lady can take a new pic.

Mean Lady: just look at the smiley face

* I see no smiley face, just a sticker of Mickey Mouse and friends.

Mean Lady : what are you doing??!! I said look at the smiley face, right here (points at Pluto). You're head is all tilted! And smile why don't cha!

Me: I don't want to.

Mean Lady : and jeez, do you have a white shirt on under your coat (I do) because you look so dark with your black coat and your black hair (it's not black you b*tch).

Me: I don't care about that.

Mean Lady: well you don't like to smile do ya? (in the rudest tone ever) fine then you want to see what you got then?

Me: No.

??? holy sh*t. never in my lifetime. what is the story with that? I did NOT know I was going to get fashion advice from a 70 year old crank pot.

Vic thought it was hilarious.

You should have used your 'I'm smiling on the inside...'

I know right?

I SHOULD have used my middle finger, that is what I wish I did.

I swear - I was so taken aback at how entirely RUDE she was. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't even think of what to say.

I can't convey how snide and nasty she spoke, but it was terrible!! And so not necessary.

Man.

Pointing at Pluto.

Which DMV was this? I used to go to the Amityville one - no meanness, just plain incompetence.

unheard of. I swear. It takes a lot to offend me. But she did it.

it was at Hauppauge, and outside of that it was painless. I changed my name on my license and my registrations in under 20 min. I did SS in about 10 min yesterday too.

That's funny, I went in July all smiley and wearing a black tank top. I'm surprised I didn't get yelled at for being TOO happy!!!

Tho I was there for 1.5 hours, so my smile quickly faded!!

I know what they are....

Unfortunately my initials used to be CS and now my initials are CM!!

Oddly enough, my cousin made the opposite switch...
