I dont think I was invited.....

to FH's cousins fiance's bridal shower...which is fine by me because I dont have to sit through another 4 hour shower of saying ooh and ahh. (nothing against showers, they just sometimes suck!)

BUT, fmil called me to see if I wanted to go in on a big present with a few other ppl. I said sure, thinking the invites werent sent out at that point.

Ohhhh but they WERE. And Fmil said if i dont get one just to come along with them...I cant do that!! I would feel like a jacka$$!!!!!

Honestly, if I dont get one, I'm not going-that would be the right thing to do right?? HELP!

absolutely! maybe there is a number cap with the place their having it, or maybe the family needed to cut people for financial reasons.....or only invited family that was married? i wouldnt go, i'd feel weird if the bride of the MOB realized you were there and wasnt invited

yeah exactly-Im not riding as the tag along. I honestly wouldnt be offended if I legitimately was NOT invited.

But FMIL insists I should just come along. She said Oh they probably dont have your address and want you to come.

um ok. I'm NOT going by what she's saying. I will feel stupid as hell showing up UN-invited.

I wouldn't go because I feel that its impolite to show up uninvited. I also wouldn't take offense to not getting an invitation because there might have been a limit or maybe the people throwing the bridal shower were not sure whom to invite. Besides the point that I think we can all agree that 4 hours of opening presents can become extremely dull!!!

I agree! But, if not I wouldn't go. Who knows maybe the invite got lost in the mail! I am always worried that, that is going to happen to me!
