does anyone else get kinda mad when they see that someone has the same dress as them?
I know a lot of you have allll different dresses but....I haven't shared what dress I chose but I know I have a dress twin and everytime they post I get kinda mad....and it makes me feel bad....
am I alone? am I a beotch?

well, that's just how u feel and it's totally understandable. I personally wouldn't mind if somebody has my same dress -I mean she's not gonna be at my wedding-

I can understand how you want 'your dress' to be 'your dress'. Think of it this way, that other person has great taste like you!
You're not a loser, and even if they saw the dress on someone else, they probably won't know it. Everyone looks different in their dress. Own it, make it yours.

As long as no one sees them in it before me, and we dont have any mutual guests.. its fun! I feel like our wedding dresses are something so specific to your style and what kind of person you are.. its cool to have that in common!

Although it may be the same dress, it will look totally different on another person, so don't let it bother you!!!!!!!!!

by the way I have a dress twin too, but I am also adding detachable cap sleeves so it won't be exactly the same, only for the reception!!!!!!!

I know i always do that ! ! But its funny because things about my wedding that i keep top secret, even from my BP- i spill on here (and as if there is no such thing as lurkers)

I didn't show my BP either....Only mom, sis, aunt. I don't show anyone coming to the wedding. I show ANYONE willing to look at the pics on my phone.....cashiers, old ladies at the thrift store....etc lol

I totally feel you. I am only showing my bridal party and a few really close friends (because they beg and I am a pushover). I keep looking out for it on other people because I really want to be the first one seen in it since I haven't seen it otherwise yet.
Still, the only thing that would really, really, really upset me is if I went to another wedding before my own and the bride was wearing my dress. I'd feel totally defeated and as if it were ripped from my own body. Dramatic, but I feel like it was made for me!

nah i really don't get mad at all. I love my dress, and i understand it's a great dress, so ofcourse other people may have it. Although, I have yet to see anyone else on here with it.

I don't have an exact dress twin but a 2010er has pretty much the same dress as me (it's a San Patrick 2009 dress with the same exact bottom, just the top is different).
It was actually great that she had a similar dress because I had no idea how this dress would look bustled and she was married not too long ago and sent me pics of the dress bustled up... it looks beautiful!!!!
I understand what you mean that if in real life you knew someone with the same dress it might seem a little 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' but if a fellow LIWer has the same dress it's no big deal.

I think it is a compliment if someone has the same dress as me - of course it its someone i know and they knew this was my dress then yeah id get mad... I have a dress twin on here !! She looks hot in it sooo rock it girl!!!

Haha, I agree. Its fun to have things in common on lIW...you have someone to talk about ideas with, compare notes, etc. And considering how many brides there are on here it would be pretty sad for the designers if there somehow were not any dress twins. But real life is a whole other story. If someone I knew had the same things in their wedding as me I would not be so happy.
