I was just watching Geraldo on Fox News and he said that there is a Pakistani official saying yesterday that they have caught Bin Laden and the US govt isnt saying anything until next week.

Becky, I think I read the same thing yesterday or the day before. I'm dying to know if they got him-I hope they did. I don't see anything on the news websites.
there was a rumor about this yesterday...which caused Wall Street to rollercoaster...up when they thought that he was caught and then down when they heard it wasn't true...

Even if they DID catch him...its not going to make a huge difference IMO in terms of the terrorist threat. There will be someone else to take his place and perhaps even more blood thirsty. Its so sad because there is just nothing we can do stop it now.

I hate to be a downer, but I'm with Stef on this. Sure, it will be great to have this lunatic in custody...I'm just afraid that he's only a small, small part of an intricate network of fanatics hell-bent on destroying America and the American way of life.

IF they have him and they announce it then those men that work under him will flee. IF they have him and its not announced those men that work under him have no idea the gov't can continue there search for those men.

It would be great if they caught him but as was said just capturing him wouldn't put an end to the terrorism. I do beleive though that it might give a little satisfaction to those directly involved in 9/11 to know the person that masterminded this terror is behind bars or put to death.
