I dropped my dog

It'll be alright. It has to be done. Prepare for her to be a little mad at you when you pick her up though.

But you know what, now she won't be a single mom with six mouths to feed. She'll keep her figure and in the end, that's all that counts to a dog. Ok, just kidding. She will be fine. In fact, you're saving her a lot of uncomfortable seasons of not being able to mate. I think it's cruel in some ways to not neuter or spay animals that you are not going to let breed. They're always so uncomfortable.

I absolutely had to spay my french mastiff. Some people said we'd make a lot of money if we mated her with another french mastiff, but I didn't want to do that, not only because I have no experience breeding, but I read that sometimes a pregnant french mastiff will need a cesarean since the puppies' heads are so massively big.
