my doctor told me their cutoff is at 140 my levels came in at 141 I now have to go for the 3hour test.. MY LUCK!! Just wondering if anyone has gone for the 3hour test and if it was the same orange drink? Thanks

Nope, mine was a lemon/lime and it was MUCH more sugary than the first time around. Plus, they didn't chill it, I thought I was going to puke. Ask them if they can chill your drink- it goes down SO much easier.

I was given a choice- orange or lemon/lime flavor. Bring a book, water bottle and a snack for the minute the 3-hour test is over. Also, I brought DH with me. I figured this was his baby too and I should not have to suffer that test alone...it is boring and a bit rough since you are starving. I got a bit weak a few times. Do NOT eat anything sugary the day before. That can effect your numbers. Let me know if you fail the 3 hour. I had GD and can help you.

I was given the same chilled orange drink but I had to drink the whole bottle (might have been 16 oz compared to 8oz when I had my 1 hour)... Just be ready to have blood drawn 4 times during the 3 hours you are there

Yes, definitely do NOT drive yourself there, b/c you will be very woozy after it.

When do you normally have to do the glucose test? and does everyone have to do it? The Drs never said anything to me about it with my son and they haven't said anything about it this time yet..?
