I failed the one hour Glucose Test! Updated! But passed the 3 hour!
Now I have to go back Wednesday to take the 3 hour one! The nurse said this is common and most people that fail the first one pass the second. Has this ever happened to anyone???
I just called and they said I was fine! Thank you all for you advice and support!

ME TOO! I just got the call today at work, that I failed also. I can't go back until the 28th for the 3 hour, so I have to wait awhile. I think I read somewhere that 20% of women fail the 1 hour. Oh well, let's hope we pass the next one!

I had GD diuring mt pregnancy and my advice for the 3 hour is briung something to read .. it is a looong morning. You have to take it first thing after dating for 24 hours..But i have to say that having GD was a pain the checking my blood 4 times a day was a pain but it actually stopped me from gaining any more weight...

Just so you know that drink for the 3 hour tastes like Sprite with ytons of suger in it

I failed my one hour as well, and the 3 hour was LOOONG. I ended up passing that one... but it was torture. After the first blood draw, they make you drink the drink- which is 10 times as sugary as for the one hour. Then my blood sugar spiked, I thought I was going to puke and pass out. I had to go outside for some fresh air. After the first hour, I started feeling back to normal. Have someone go with you to drive, you don't know how you might react... and you won't have eaten for a while.

I hope I pass this one! She told me it was slightly high but not too bad. DH is a Dr. and works with diabetics all day. He is driving me nuts that even if I pass this second one he doesn't want me eating ice cream anymore. The one thing I crave is a reeses sundae from Friendlys! But anyway, they told me not to eat anything after midnight tonight and I have to go tomorrow morning at 9am. Lets hope we pass Mishy! Thank you MSCJKL!

Thank you! DH was going to come with me but he has a meeting so my mom is going to come! Thanks again, I will let you know how I do.

I failed the one hr and passed the three hr the nurse said it was most likely the meal I ate before teh one hr test

I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour. I felt fine and didn't think the drink was that bad.

Good Luck I have my test next week..... I hope the 3 hour gives you a big negative and you can eat Ice Cream, my dh is a doc as well and a bit too overprotective so I can relate

I find out today at 12 if I passed or not. It really knocked me out though! I felt fine when I was there but a few minutes after I left I practically passed out! Thank God my Mom was there to drive. I guess from not eating and then drinking all that sugar. They take your blood 4 times in 3 hours! I went home and slept for the rest of the afternoon! Thank you all for you well wishes! I will let you know as soon as I find out what the results are.

Congrats! I am so happy for you! I just took the 3 hour today, so I now have to wait until Monday, and hopefully the doctors will call me then to let me know if I passed too.
