I feel blue

I went to Connecticut for one of my college roomate's weddings this past weekend. So I meet one of my roomates (shes one of my BM's) at her apartment. I get there an hour early and she was in the shower. I was sitting in her apt. waiting for her to get out of the shower and I see on her white board KRISTA's SHOWER AUG. 12th, BAYSHORE!!!!! I quick cover my eyes but the damage is done...I Know when my shower is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt want to know anything!!! THEN, after she comes out of the shower and starts hiding other things I see a piece of paper that says 'Krista's shower...C' (C was all I saw).....so I know my mom picked the place cause she told me and I know my mom and dad got married at Captain Jacks. My mom would have chosen the same place out of sentiment. So, now I think I know it all....Im so sad about it....

I totally know how you feel. The other day I posted about how I read something and it had both of my shower dates on it.
Then last night my FMIL called me and talked to me all about my shower (even though FH has told her a million times I don't want to know anything). She's totally disrespected that I don't want to know anything. :( Now I don't even know how to act because I've been pretending I don't know.
As sad as I am, I know I will still have a great time and still be surprised by what they plan, and you will too! Trust me though, I can completely relate.

AAWW, I'm sorry that you found out, but at least now you can be prepared, dress nicely, etc for all the photos!

Aw, that stinks, but in the end it doesn't really matter. I was upset I found out about mine too, but honestly, it didn't affect the day in any way at all.

I hope your right. I know my mom and BMs are working so hard on my shower. I know the day will be great, but I really wanted to be surprised

You are still going to have a wonderful day! It's OK that it won't be a surprise. You still don't know who will be there! There will still be some surprise aspects to it! It could be worse.... i got an invitation to my own shower!!!! (but luckily it doesn't bother me!!)

I assure you that on the day of your shower you will not care. You will walk into the room and will not worry.

My mom (on purpose) told me about my first shower the day before. It was a great moment between us and it made no difference. I was surprised by the second shower...

and I will tell you that there was no difference between the amount of emotion or pure jubilation. You will not care, you will be so happy and overcom with emotion.

And if I am not right, you can come back and tell me I was wrong!

Yeah, I know how you feel. I cried about it because I felt that my mom and BMs were working so hard to keep it a suprise, and then I ruined it when I found out. My mom knew I knew, and didn't care. One of my BM asked me afterwards and I told her, and she thought it was funny.
It really is so hard to keep these things secret, there are too many people involved.

Think of it this way, you can dress appropriate and not have to worry about showing up in 'non shower clothes!'.

I found out about my date on accident, it happens...don't be upset!

to you. I knew when mine was. It was a little sad that there was no surprised - but I got to spend weeks looking for a cute dress and I made sure I did my makeup and hair!
