FH and I are looking into possibly buying a house before the wedding. If not before pretty much right after!
Last night I created a speadsheet with all out our monthly income and expenses (including the expenses for the wedding) to see if we can swing doing both at the same time! Looks like we can but it will be tight for the year before the wedding. I think it is worth it though.
But on the positive note I realized that we saved more already then we planned and are on track to be able to pay for everything (without using our tax refund next year)!
Why can't we just win the lottery!

So happy to hear you are on budget! We are on a tight one as well util the wedding but it will all be worth it

Yeah and that is not taking into account that I look at alot of financial information for work also!
I am binder queen! Binder for the wedding. Binder for the house search.... what will be the next binder!!!

Lucky you mara!!!! I think it will be a few years b/f FH and I can start looking for a house. Esp. with the wedding planning. We are not on a tight budget yet!!!!! but that could change later on.

Good for you that you're on the right track!! FH finallyyyyy made a plan to pay off his student loans, but we're not even close to being able to afford our own house! Hopefully someday!

We recently just started saving for a house. We're hoping that we can find/afford one by the winter of next year.

i love my spreadsheets!! i have one for EVERYTHING. My FH makes fun of me all the time.,. I'm glad I'm not alone!

I'm a spreadsheet queen too. I organize an annual wine tour for my group of friends--(12-20 people) I totally put everythign down to their lunch order and payment dates in a spreadsheet. THen I print it out color coded and bring it day of. Who's a nerddddddddddddddd. And I have a wedding binder too--no baby one-not in a rush for that!
