FH has been in Miami since Thursday - he had to go for work. He won't be back until tomorrow. It feels like he's been gone FOREVER and I miss him so much . He had said before he left that he thought he might be done as early as yesterday, but that got delayed. I gave him a hard time about it because I wanted him to come home. There's nothing he can do about it either; when the job is done he can leave.
I don't know why I'm being so clingy - I've never been like this before! Does anybody else feel like this when their FH/DH has to travel?

Re: I feel like such a baby
i know what your going through. i went to florida for a week almost two weeks ago and i couldn't stand it. the morning i was leaving i told everyone i wasn't going thats how upset i was. i did go, but i was on the phone with him every night for a bout half an hour to an hour. it was hard for me because we've never been away from each other for longer than a day.

I know what you mean. He was working yesterday and I called him at the firehouse because I missed him. And it was only 24 hours. The first two years of our relationship, I only saw him once every 4-6 WEEKS. So I know it is bad. It is okay to miss him though

We live together so we're almost never apart. He doesn't understand why I get so upset. I don't either really! I just can't stand him being gone so long. And I don't like him flying either. Ever since 9/11 I worry about people when they fly....

Re: I feel like such a baby
I understand - both FH and I do our fair amount of traveling for work.
We talk everynight usually and I always miss him like crazy- I try and make it a point to use the times when I am home while FH is gone to my advantage catch up with friends, eat veggie burgers for dinner if I want or go out for dinner with friends. I always had a thing for alone time anyway so sometimes I welcome it.
You are not a baby ...

I never had to go through it. But only can imagine how you feel.

Re: I feel like such a baby
You are justified in how you are feeling.
I feel the way you do and my husband does not even travel.
He works 2 jobs, takes a class, and participates in sports so needless to say he is never home and I do not like it
