us are booking and CHECKing pretty far in advance.. So I was wondering, will it ever slow down... I hope so!! I don't want to be this busy for the next 373 days...

well i am trying to get things done by the end of this year.
FH and I will both be finishing up school and graduating next semester so i will be so busy from feb-may!!!

I just hope it slows down a bit.. I feel like I have a lot to do... but that's because I'm not doing the DOC thing.. My friends just planned their own weddings and everything went off without a hitch..

I know. It gets so competitive. All the timelines have things being booked so much later than all the girls on here. Guess they're based on non competitive areas. Everyone always says, you have so much time, but when you hear how everyone is booking things so fast, it makes you stressed! I just do things at my own pace. I'm still searching for a dress, and I can't possibly look at BM dresses until I have mine picked. And we can't look at tuxes until the dresses are done. And I don't want to speak to a florist until my dress and the BM dresses are picked. And I want my invites to match all the colors, so I guess I'll pick those after the dresses and the flowers. And my hair isn't grown to a point where it would be worth it to get a hair trial. And I'd like to do the makeup around then too, and I'd like to have my colors finalized before that one too. I try not to feel the need to stress and get things done so fast.

I am currently in the 'slow down' time. I am only 6 months away, so its like all the big stuff is done, and yeah, there is little stuff to do here and there- but i have a few months before it swings back into crazy mode!
So, yeah...it will calm down..and like I am right now...you will be thinking ' I can't wait till it gets crazy again because that means I am ALMOST GETTING MARRIED!!!' =)

lol... we are starting to slow down with a lot of the meetings and official stuff. We are now onto the 'soft' things, like our DIY centerpieces, extra decorations and such. Things that are fun arts & crafts kinds of projects that we can take our time with.

I'm 8.5 months out. I haven't really done much of anything for months. I did my tasting in June, Send STDs in July, and ordered my gown last month. Other than that I've done practically nothing in the past few months.
I do need to ask my last BM and order BM dresses, I need to book hair and makeup which I'm going to do tomorrow.
Then it's tuxes, limos, invitations and judaica, which I want to accomplish by the end of the year.

I have 136 days left.. I didn't do anything all summer long.. it was pretty nice lol
now just working on invitations and music and I think I'll be done.

It totally slows down. With me, it goes in phases, sometimes I have nothing to do for weeks, and then i am supper busy the next two.

I'm doing my limos this weekend and them I'm on wedding break until after the holidays. I'll still be looking around I'm sure but I don't have anything that needs to be done!

I am doing things so slow that I never really feel busy with this. Everytime I come on here it kind of gives me a boost. I just set out certain things to do within a month so I won't be too overwhelmed.

I got everything booked early so that I got all the vendors I really wanted.
Plus all we needed to do was make payments and not worry if we were going to book the people we wanted.

It does. I am about 3 months out and my checks are coming in slowly and they are not ask big as in the begining or even a few months ago.

Knock on wood... but I can honestly say that planning was fun and not stressful at all for me. I have my random date and this website to thank for that. We narrowed things down to 2 or 3 vendors in each category before we made appointments and sometimes we booked with the first person we met with (DJ, invitations, officiant.) People keep asking what they can help me with and honestly there is nothing (unless they want to start writing checks, lol.)
I hope you all enjoy this crazy planning process. You'll (hopefully) never have the opportunity to do it again!
