i feel like we're grandma & grandpa

i feel like we're grandma & grandpa

we never go out.
ever since we moved in together its like we'd rather just stay home and just do nothing.
have a drink or drink some wine instead of going out to bars or to clubs. I feel sooo old but im not.
Is this ok?
And sometimes we're in bed by 9:30!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not complaining or anything bc I honestly dont feel like going out and we're perfectly happy its just i feel maybe we should go out? (or maybe not )
some of our friends (who are in steady relationships but dont live together) go out constently!

Am I the only one feeling like this?

And escpecially with the wedding coming and us trying to buy a house, I dont see the point of going to a bar/club/or restaurant and blowing $ like there's no tomorrow. when we can have a nice dinner and just chill at home

yea thats pretty much my life...between working so much i just look forward to relaxing on the couch....

i feel like i am 75 haha but im 25

I know!! 24 here FH also.
I just got home and FH isn't home yet!

I am in bed right now, and Lee is on his way home, we are ordeing food in, and going to sleep, and its 7pm.
Dont feel bad, there really isnt anything to do anyways

ETA: My FH works ALOT.
He works during the week and then trying to get the house ready in time for the wedding, his schedule is from
6:30am til about 11pm every day, even on the weekends. cause he goes to the house to do work on it.

I dont mind the time alone, i use it to relax or hang out with my friends

This is good. This means you're happy. When you think you're not happy doing this anymore, make sure you are honest with each other, and supportive.

If you are, then you will probably go out a few weekends in a row, get really tired of it really fast and go back to doing, as you say, 'nothing'.

But think about it. Are you really doing nothing? Or are you having deep conversations? Cuddling in bed longer? Learning what shows both of you like to watch together on TV? Exploring each other's music collections?

This is beautiful. This is bliss. Enjoy it. Don't worry. Old comes upon you no matter what you do, so I would say, enjoy the bliss.

that is all we do too - we are meeting some of his friends out tonight and that is almost a big deal. Most of the time we just work on our house (bought the house he grew up in back in May) or we just watch movies / tv.

I think we have just embraced it by this point but it is too funny. The sad thing is I really like our in and just us time.

that is what FH and I do most of the time. He was never the going out to bars/clubs type of person and I have been over it for a while. It is true...if you are happy, then there is no reason to go out. I love that i can have more fun staying home and playing guitar hero with FH as I used to have going out to the bars with my girls.

We're the same way - I love spending time with him, I hate not going out.

THIS is why engaged couples lose friends.

I wish I could get us to go out more.

I push for him to have guys night, I push harder for myself to have girls night (somehow it's always a problem when I want to go out with the girls).

ETA: I push like hell for us to all go out too! Luckily we do outings once a month! Wish I could make it more frequent. I like a packed lifestyle.

Ladies, I think it can be a normal maturing thing. I remember when I was in my 20's and I decided I wasn't going to be out all night, and feel tired the next day!! I told our 30 yr. old Son, my story, and he's starting to feel the same way. Mary MOB

We don't go out that much either but we both work two jobs so we're just exhausted.

It's a game for xbox 360 that comes with a guitar and you have to play along with the song....we have rockband which is even more fun and comes with the guitar, microphone and drums.....i highly recommend it (and i usually don't play video games)

FH and I don't live together so I can't wait for these days... I used to live on my own and when I did, those nights were the ones I looked foward to most...now we both live at home..oh boy how fun..

We went to NYC last saturday to celebrate my birthday with like 20 people...we spent the night in the city and didnt go to bed till like 5am...by the time we got home on Sunday....

we BLEW UP THE AIR MATTRESS in the living room and laid down and watched movied all day (instead of laying in bed.....FH wanted to watch it on the big TV)

Right now...I am LIW and he is playin XBOX....we just finished cleaning the house!

We are boring, but its okay...we are ok with it and we are saving a lot more money than our friends who are out drinking right now!

yeah its weird because we used to go out to eat a couple times a week. We would even go out during weekdays for dinner and a few drinks after at a bar. Now we don't do that but we also are saving for the wedding so it's a bit different.

But at the same time i also look so forward to our fridays. Coming home and ordering in and just lounging watching a movie haha.
