i feel so bad for fh

Well yesterday was our last day at pre-cana and we had the blessing in front of the church and after that we had like refreshment downstairs. Well we asked his parents to go and right now his parents are about ready to get divorced and all his father does is stay in his room and not talk to anyone.
So at the 11am mass we looked around for his parents and you can guess who didn't show up? His dad!!!! I was so upset for my FH. He does everything with fh and they are very close but seen he is acting weird he doesn't want to do anything with fh anymore and doesn't talk to him anymore.
After church we went food shopping and fh expressed to me that he was upset that his dad didn't come and he went fishing with his cuz instead so he was like Robert can be his new son and that he doesn't want him at our wedding. My heart is broken and I cant believe that his father would do this. im just so upset about this and I cant get fh to change his mind about the wedding part. ok vent over!

oh so sorry to hear that. That must be very tough for your FH. I think he is still very hurt, give him some time to sort through the feelings and try to work things out with his dad and he may have a change of heart- wish you guys the best

he trys to talk to his dad but he just walks away and doesnt want to talk to anyone anymore. He doesnt even say hello to me anymore. I ask fh do you want to sit down and talk to him and my fh doesnt want to do that either. Also when my fh went home last night he over hear his dad on the phone talking to his cousin again and was like i had a great time fishing with you today and we caught alot of fish let do it again. You cant ask your son to go fishing??? It just hurt to see him like this

if things don't change from here to the wedding....... i wouldn't want him to go to the wedding either.
Your wedding day should be surrounded by people that have looked forward to this day not people that feel obligated to go.

I'm so sorry for you FH. That's so not right what his father is doing. It's like he's taking out the divorce on the wrong person. Hopefully this will pass and the father will snap out of this and be there for his son.
